Henare Horse Treks creates private journeys on horseback through Pouto’s beaches, dunes and rugged west-coast landscape. Every trek is guided by locals with deep knowledge of the land.
The one-hour ride is a gentle introduction and ideal for beginners. The two-hour trek travels further through bush, dunes and remote coastline; bespoke rides can be designed for your group or a special occasion.

A Henare New Zealand experience · Kororāreka (Russell)
Kōtare Quest Charters offers private Bay of Islands days from Kororāreka (Russell). Take the water at your group’s pace, with a local skipper guiding coastal cruising, island stops, swimming and fishing adventures.
Choose a four-hour half-day charter, a full day on the Bay, targeted fishing, or an island adventure. Charters are private for up to six guests and operate from November through March.
