Pouto accommodation — cliff-edge lodge above Kaipara Harbour

Kaipara Harbour, Northland

Pouto
Accommodation

Three private cliff-edge lodges at Pouto Point. Wild dunes, open skies, and the vast Kaipara Harbour at your feet.

Remote, wild, and genuinely extraordinary

Pouto Point occupies the southern tip of the Pouto Peninsula — a long, narrow finger of land stretching between the Kaipara Harbour and the Tasman Sea. It's one of the most remote and beautiful corners of Northland, New Zealand.

The three Henare lodges here — Kaipara, Kauri, and Kapia — sit on the cliff edge above the harbour. Each is private, self-contained, and designed for couples who want to feel genuinely away.

Pouto is approximately 3 hours from Auckland. The drive is part of the experience — through Dargaville and down the peninsula, past sand dunes, farmland, and open sky.
